Bariatric surgery abroad/privately Information

Follow-up for patients who have had Bariatric surgery abroad/privately – not provided at the surgery.
If you have had bariatric surgery (gastric band, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, for example) privately or abroad, you will need to return to the provider who performed this surgery for further follow-up. This is not a service the practice provides. We only offer this service for patients who received this surgery via the NHS services (at the specialist’s request).

Autumn/Winter Vaccinations Programme 2025

If you are eligible for your free Influenza (Flu) vaccination you will receive a text message or email with a link to book an appointment on the 4th or 11th October at Billesdon Surgery. If you are eligible for a COVID vaccination you may be offered this when you attend for your Flu vaccination.

Childhood flu clinics are on 23rd Sep and 26th Sep at Billesdon Surgery. These clinics are now full. Please call reception on 0116 2596206 and we can book your child in with a nurse on a day and time that suits you.

The 4th and 11th October clinics are now full for all ages

Eligibility for Flu vaccination at Billesdon Surgery:

• Aged 65 and over
• Aged 18 to 64 and in a clinical risk group (as defined by the Green Book, Influenza chapter 19)
• Pregnant women
• All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025
• All children in a clinical risk group aged from 6 months to less than 18 years
• Resident in a care home

Eligibility for COVID vaccination at Billesdon Surgery:

• Aged 75 and over
• Individuals who are immunosuppressed aged 18 and over (as defined by the Green Book, COVID-19 – SARS-CoV-2)
• Residents in a care home
